If you hold LT and click on a mailbox you will be able to make all happy, make needs static, Force Visitor, Force NPC, Make friends, possible, etc. By holding LT and click on a sim you will have the option to either trigger age transition or add sim to active family. This cheat also acts as a lesser version of testing cheats enabled. It is worth it, with it, you will be able to max out karma, use the infamous motherload/kaching cheats and give yourself 5,000 lifetime happiness points. After activating the cheat, you will not be able to unlock any trophies/challenges, but you will be able to save the game right before activating the cheat. A screen will come up saying that Spoot the magic Llama has appeared in your catalog under decor miscellaneous. When your family is together, pause the game and hold RT+RB and LT+LB.
